Arches National Park

Arches National Park

Arches National Park lies north of Moab in the state of Utah. Bordered by the Colorado River in the southeast, it’s known as the site of more than 2,000 natural sandstone arches, such as the massive, red-hued Delicate Arch in the east. Long, thin Landscape Arch stands in Devils Garden to the north. Other geological formations include Balanced Rock, towering over the desert landscape in the middle of the park.

Breathtaking! A range of trails from easy to difficult.  Great place to be out in nature in one of the most unique places in the USA.  Sunset and sunrise great photo ops.  Orange-red glow at sunset is amazing.  Drink lots of water and bring sunscreen. Enjoy!

I had a lot of fun here. It was about a hundred degrees on the days I was there so we kept hiking to the pretty short trails.  Honestly seeing the whole parking easily be done in one to two days compared to some other.

One of the most visit National parks in the USA. The Delicate Arch hike is great. Bring plenty of water when you are visiting on a sunny day. Early mornings or evenings are the best time for Delicate Arch hike. You can explore unique natural windows in this national park. Moab is the nearest city. Canyon Lands National Park is also very near to Arches.

We had a great time to visit the park. Most of the arches are very close walking distance from the beginning of the trails. This is a great place to visit even if walking abilities are impaired. There is plenty to see from the road as you're driving to the areas of interest. There are restrooms available throughout the park and areas with shaded seating. Most trails are easy to walk through. The landscape is breathtaking. The only downside is the cost of the entrance.

Hiking this beautiful park was such a wonderful experience! A lot of the trails are family-friendly, and the arches are so worth the walk. There were some parts where the sand was super deep, so most beware of that. Make sure you take lots and lots of water and bug spray! The heat can be brutal. My mom and I went through almost a gallon of water easily. The sand flies are not very pleasant either, so just be aware. Sunscreen, bug spray, lots of water! Also, please, for the sake of this park and the entertainment, stay on the trails!! I was sort frustrated when people kept going off the trail. The ecosystem there is very fragile when it comes to human interaction, and the entire park can be destroyed by not keeping to the trails. They are for a reason!
Arches National Park

One of the best National Parks and it's always busy, but there are tons of pull-outs and short walks to keep it from feeling over-crowded. During the summer it gets hot, so be sure to plan accordingly. There's a large visitor center at the entrance with lots to see and do.

Arches National Park is a wonderland of red rocks and blue sky. The red rock landscape at Arches feels timeless, dream-like, and other-worldly. People have documented over 2,000 natural stone arches within park boundaries. You can see arches, towers, pinnacles, and balanced rocks from the paved park roads. Take a hike, and you can see even more.

A beautiful park with so much geologic history. Definitely, do some of the hikes early in the morning or later in the evening. I did The Windows in the evening and it was pleasant with a full moon. I also did Delicate Arch in the morning before it was super crowded and it was serene. Also, Panorama Point is a great place to chill and watch the moon or stars.

Breathtaking views, especially at sunset. The parking areas in the park were very busy and kind of stopped us from seeing a couple of things we wanted to see. I would take off half a star for the lack of necessary and needed parking. It would be nice if there was a shuttle system implemented.

absolutely breathtaking! We stayed for 5 nights and went to Arches about 10 times.

Definitely come to the park before 9 or after 4 pm to avoid the crowds. And if you watch the sunset consider staying until dark to get a phenomenal view of the starts. Truly magnificent and humbling. Nature at it's best! Can't wait to come back!

Plenty to see if you're disabled and have a wheelchair or scooter. A bit of a bumpy ride, but you can still have an amazing time if you aren't able to hike or walk up more than a few steps (stairs).

Make sure to go to the visitors' station and ask the rangers about the accessible areas and for the adventurous able-bodied folks to try to get on the guided tour (Fiery Furnace). You can get a permit up to 7 days in advance. My bf said it really made the trip for him.

Because of the hype and reviews about Arches, we went out of our way to go visit. Unfortunately, it just left a lot to be desired. It may have been because we had just come from Zion, but overall we were underwhelmed. If you decide to go, make sure to make the effort to hike to the arches, otherwise, it would not be worth just driving around the park. Still unique and worth seeing if you are in the area!

Awesome park I hiked to see the tapestry arch, and broken arch one day and those were beautiful, and I also hiked devil's garden which was probably my favorite hike that I did while there. The rock formations make this giant find of sandstone that sticks out of the ground that you get to walk on top of and it makes for a great view of the surrounding landscape.

I'm sorry... We're doing the big tour of all the National parks and we had the worst experience in this one. The nature is great and the park has a lot of potentials, but this park is so abused by tourists, in the 3+ hours here in midday we saw people climbing on arches, hanging off them, scratching text into them, sitting in them, you literally can't take a photo without another person in the most well-known arches. A couple of extra rangers to watch the trails would do wonders to actually preserve this park. This was just saddening to see.

Great place to visit. It is a sight to see. It is amazing the way these sand rocks are formed. They're huge. There's a lot to see. There's a lot of different places to see in the park. You do a lot of walking to get as close to the arches as you can to get a better view. It's so pretty out there. I recommend anyone to visit this place before you pass away. Moab is a great tourist town to visit. Good food to eat and motels to stay at.

Incredible views and fantastic hikes. This national park is a MUST SEE! I highly recommend using All Trails to find info about all the local hikes. Bring a ton of water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and bug spray. I recommend hiking as early as possible if you come in the warmer months. You'll beat the heat and the crowds.

Absolutely thrilling! The majestic, overwhelming beauty of this National Park is a sensory overload! The expansive monuments on display here really pique the interest in how these spectacles were formed. Finding out how fleeting they are also bringing a sense of humble adoration to be able to witness their beauty. Simply put - it is a must-see! If you like this review, let me know with a thumbs up
Arches National Park

Bring lots of water. There is scarce shade the entirety of the trail, so be prepared. The distance seems short initially but takes a solid hour to make it to the arches from the parking lot. Try to avoid the hottest parts of the day and hike morning or evening.

Great place to visit. So many trails to try and they are categorized by difficulty level, making it easy to decide which is best for you. Our kids 10,8,6 enjoyed becoming Junior Rangers. Be sure to ask for a booklet for the kids to complete before beginning your hike. I recommend getting there as soon as the visitor center opens and completing your hike early before the sun gets too strong

I highly recommend the park. Few tips for those of you coming
(1)The weather in August is 90f and up so be prepared with lots of water, sunscreen, and a hat. Water fountain available only at the visitor center near the entrance and on the other edge of the park.
(2)  crowded during summer during midday hours - suggested driving all the way to end of the park and drive back through the attractions
(3) fiery furnace trip - took the $6/self-guided - not more than and canton around - not worth it.
(4) 4 stars cause too crowded - they might restrict entrance into the park so check online before arriving

This is always one of my favorite destinations for camp and hike. There are so many different things to see and it something you can do most of in 1 day or spread out over several days and have an enjoyable trip. It has breathtaking views unlike anything you will see anywhere and the cost for a week of the park is well worth it.
