Kanha Tiger Reserve

Kanha Tiger ReserveKanha National Park, also known as Kanha Tiger Reserve, is a vast expanse of grassland and forest in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Tigers, jackals and wild pigs can be spotted in Kanha Meadows. The elevated plateau of Bamhnidadar is home to birds of prey. Animals often gather at the watering holes of Sondar Tank and Babathenga Tank. The park’s flora and fauna are documented in the park's Kanha Museum.

If you want to see Tigers or other animals, then don't select Buffer Zone (like Khatia gate... etc), select the Core Zone (like Mukki gate, Kanha gate...etc), it's much better than the Buffer Zone. There are more chances of animal sighting here. Core Zone is value for money.

The park has a huge variety of flora and fauna. We witnessed different species of animals and birds.
We spotted deers, wild buffalo, a tiger, an elephant, and many more.
We went on a morning jungle safari at 5:30. It was very pleasant and the experience was good.

One of the best Indian national parks. The jungle is serene with plenty of wildlife. Management is excellent. Tickets and safaris cost a lot, but worth the experience. If going to Kanha, you must also visit the Baiga Tribal Settlement and learn how a sustainable tribal lifestyle is. Amazing place to be.

That was an amazing place to visit & I was like. I didn't want to go from there to my place. it was a place full of peace and most importantly I was very satisfied with animal sightseeing and time allotted for safari .must say one should visit   Kanha .this was my 3rd time to visit there and still feels like to go over again & again
 Thank you!

It's a nice place to visit. You can explore flora and fauna. but it's main attraction is the tiger. There are hundreds of them in these jungles but it's on your luck if you can get their close view.we were lucky and got to see one.it is not dangerous as some may suggest you.even with the kids.tiger just passed from our side but it's easy unless you disturb them. but other than a 3hr ride you don't have anything much to do here.it is the only one-day destination.

The best part of India. Kudos to MP tourism for Best Forest Management Practices. Forest Guides are well trained for safeguarding Nature. Very Well kept Museum. One must take the nature walk arranged by the department. Also, watch the movie show at night in the open-air theater. Variety of animal sightings in safari ride.

The beauty of the jungle is something that one has to feel with all his senses, sometimes you can't express it with words. Madhya Pradesh is the place to be to feel nature with your heart. Kanha a jungle full of different types of trees and birds and animals and of yes, of course, the place of the king of the jungle, The Tiger. After visiting this place your soul will keep you knocking to visit it again and again.
Kanha Tiger Reserve

One of the densest National parks in India.
275KM from Nagpur.
80% chance for tiger sighting.
Not only the tiger there various wild species that you will come across.
2 timing‘s for entry in the national park
6 am and 4 pm.
You can book the safari online or else you can get the bookings on the main gate booking counters.
However, the probability of getting a booking on time is very low.
Safari charges — 4500 Rs. For 6 people including the guide, gypsy and entry fee. No extra charge.
6 people can only occupy the gypsy.

A must-see national park for nature lovers. Be sure to book tickets in core areas only as buffer areas offer very little in terms of wildlife. Khatia gate is the main gate. Lots of good accommodation is available nearby. Make sure to carry some cash as only one ATM is available nearby. Also, make sure to top up the fuel tank of your vehicle as the nearest petrol station is 35 km from Khatia gate.

People Must visit this place. Very dense and beautiful Forest. I went there in the mid of May month. At Mukki gate, we saw two tiger ones were sitting in the water and the second tiger crossed our gypsy. It was a memorable moment for me. Affordable hotels are easily available there.
I suggest everyone visit this place at least once in their life and enjoy nature.

Traveled to Kanha in April to see tigers, and did a total of 8 safaris during our stay. We were not disappointed.

Overall it was easier than we expected to see tigers and saw a total of 7 during our safaris. So maybe 8 safaris was a bit overdoing it, but better to be safe than sorry.

On a positive note, there is an abundance of other wildlife to see in the park, such as sloth bears, jungle cats, peacocks, etc.

Note that there are several different areas in the park, and you will need to book early to get tickets to the best ones since there is a limit to the number of people that can go in each day.

The only negative to think of is that you are required to bring an official guide from the park. These guides are on a roster system, meaning that they rotate and you'll get a new one each time. There is a WIDE difference in the quality of these. We had some really good ones, but also one who fell asleep several times and seemed hungover. Also, having a new guide every day means that you'll have to start over with them pointing out the same "basic" animals every time

Kanha Wildlife

The Kanha National Park is surely a paradise for the wild species that brings the natural habitat for them. A location that is filled with large varieties of fauna out of which the jungle is best known for Barasingha, the swamp deer called ‘the jewel of Kanha’. A tiger tour is perfectly a great option for the nature lovers in Kanha.

Jungle Safari in Kanhaindian dholes

A trip to Kanha Reserve directly takes you to the widespread arena of the lush habitat of wild creatures. With elephant and jeep safari, an encounter with all these species is really generous and worthwhile. With jungle safari, you can take a closer look to the wild animals and can capture their magnanimous images in your cameras.
